Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Integration Engineer

DatArcs is seeking an Integration Engineer who is an expert in operating systems and scripting and possesses the necessary skills to provide pre-sale and post-sale support to clients. Qualified candidates will engage with prospects and customers and assist them in customizing DatArcs’s tuning tool to their specific environments.

This individual will serve as a technical authority for application and system tuning and will have experience translating client business needs into technical specifications.

This is a client-facing position as well as hands-on technical. This position reports to the head of sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the technical sales process and deliverables from opportunity identification through closing and implementation
  • Gather and use customer requirements to develop specific tuning solutions
  • Conduct proof of concepts and demonstrations for products and offerings
  • Assist existing customers and help them succeed with the company’s products
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge across multiple technology domains and applications
  • Develop expertise in system tuning
  • Consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described above

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to thrive in sales driven and technical environments
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High Degree of situational awareness and customer service skills
  • A self-starter and fast learner
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well both in teams and independently

  • This position will be a customer-facing position requiring a candidate with the technical skills and integrity to work with the Customer and Sales Team to design tuning solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • 2 or more years of experience providing presales engineering support required
  • 3 years of experience in R&D; experience in performance-critical projects preferred
  • Strong working knowledge in Linux and scripting
  • Strong knowledge in system architectures (hardware and software)
  • Experience in Linux system administration preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in a client-facing environment
  • CS/CE/EE degrees preferred
